Wolf Alice win first ever DICE Live Award
Prize handed out in a boozy ceremony at London’s The Old Blue Last.
Last night, DICE hosted its first ever Live Award at London’s The Old Blue Last, in a boozy ceremony that saw Wolf Alice crowned 2014 winners.
Jen Long handed out the award to the London four-piece, who pipped fellow nominees Royal Blood, Slaves and Rag n Bone Man to the prize. An initial shortlist was voted for by one hundred journalists and tastemakers, who picked their favourite “emerging live act” in the UK.
“We feel really honoured that people are enjoying our live shows, especially when we spent so long playing to nobody and wishing for a moment like this,” said Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell.
The ceremony then played host to DJ sets from Thumpers, Circa Waves, Gengahr, Superfood and DIY DJs.
