Wolf Alice share chaotic ‘Yuk Foo’ video

Wolf Alice released vicious comeback single ‘Yuk Foo’ last month, and the track now has a pretty amazing new video.

Filmed in a day in Shoreditch Town Hall by Adam Powell, who directed all the clips from Dirty Hit labelmates The 1975’s ‘i like it when you sleep’ album, the video is as dark and dingy as the track itself.

‘Yuk Foo’ was quickly followed by second single ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ in previewing new album ‘Visions Of A Life’, which comes out on 28th September.

Talking to Dazed about the new video, Ellie Rowsell says of the video: “…because the song’s so fast, heavy and brash, it doesn’t really seem to lend itself to a narrative video. One of the reasons we took ‘Yuk Foo’ to the studio – besides liking it as a song in and of itself – was because we were so excited to play it live. It’s got so much energy, and so we wanted to make a live video to match; short, and manically fast-paced.”

The band are also set to head out on a huge UK/European tour in support of the record. Today, they announced The Magic Gang as support for the five mainland EU dates.

Wolf Alice finish up an intimate run of US club dates at The Echo in Los Angeles this evening (26th July).
