Woman’s Hour Announce Debut Album ‘Conversations’, Stream Title-Track
Highly-anticipated debut album is out through Secretly Canadian this July.
London-based four piece Woman’s Hour have announced details for their debut album, ‘Conversations’.
Out 14th July on Secretly Canadian, it’s a first work that includes previous tracks ‘To The End’, ‘Our Love Has No Rhythm’, ‘Darkest Place’ and ‘Her Ghost’.
There’s also the title-track, unveiled today. Everything’s starkly laid out, with empty space being the vital piece in the song. Clipped guitars run up alongside Fiona Burgess’ effect-stripped vocals, and there’s even a slightly hint of funk working its way proceedings.
In a new DIY interview, Fiona explains that the record’s ‘about how many different sides we have to our characters.
‘Making this record I’ve learnt such a lot about myself on a personal level. I’m constantly surprised at the capability of thought, and how thoughts can surprise you.’
For a full report on the new album, be sure to look out for the April issue of DIY. Out tomorrow (Wednesday 2nd April), it arrives with an In the Studio report on ‘Conversations’.
