Yak unveil ‘This House Has No Living Room’ ft. J Spaceman

The song features on upcoming album ‘Pursuit of Momentary Happiness’.

With a few weeks to go until the release of second album ‘Pursuit of Momentary Happiness’, Yak have unveiled the J Spaceman-featuring ‘This House Has No Living Room’ from the record.

“This is the last song we recorded at RAK,” explains frontman Oli Burslem, “and it’s definitely my favourite. It sums the whole record up. I guess it’s inspired by mortality and memories of loved ones past and present. It also features my good friend John Coxon on piano and harmonica without whom I doubt the band would be where we are today. If it’s the last piece of music I ever make I’ll be happy.”

Read our interview with Oli about how ‘Pursuit of Momentary Happiness’ came to be - and almost didn’t - as featured in the December / January issue of DIY here.

The track comes with a video featuring previously-unseen footage from cult filmmaker and photographer John Kayser, directed by John Kayser.

‘Pursuit of Momentary Happiness’ is released on 8th February via Third Man Records / Virgin EMI.
