Neu Pick:
ZOLA BLOOD announce debut album ‘Infinite Games’ with thumping single ‘Nothing’
The London four-piece are today’s Neu Pick.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Zola Blood.
London quartet ZOLA BLOOD are releasing their long-awaited debut album ‘Infinite Games’ later this year, and have teamed the announcement with the release of a thumping new single, ‘Nothing’.
Building on the glorious slickness of 2014 debut EP ‘Meridian’, the new single begins with a deep, dark synth line stretched out like elastic, and comparable even to the warped, bent beats of Factory Floor.
That is, until Matt West’s vocals cast a blanket over the chaos and makes things a great deal dreamier.
“When we started out,” West says in a press release, “we had an idea about being minimal and not overcrowding things. I guess our mantra is ‘don’t forget the song’.”
‘Infinite Games’ is coming out on 26th May via Pond Life. Listen to ‘Nothing’ below.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
