Ace City Racers - Scenester

1 minute and 34 seconds of smart pop-rock.

There are good and bad cases of the ‘I’ve heard this before’ déjà vus, and thankfully Ace City Racers’ latest release ‘Scenester’ falls into the former category, reminding the listener of strummed, energetic indie hits of the early noughties.

The Glaswegian three-piece, James, Mark and Matt Racer, only formed in June 2009, but have since played many gigs in their hometown - and worked with Stephen Street, which may go someway to explaining many of the hits ‘Scenester’ reminds of.

There’s no complicated song structure, no eccentricity - just a perky, 1 minute and 34 seconds short piece of smart pop-rock, that’ll suit any sticky indie club and sounds refreshingly casual.
