Put simply, ‘Skeleton Boy’ is a slice of electro pop perfection - the kind of pop music it’s ok to like, so simmer down indie boys and girls.
With more than a nod to countless early 90s floor fillers, band du jour Friendly Fires have managed to create an original tune that sounds so familiar, a trick so many of their peers would give their right arms for. The sharp electronic bleeps and thumping bass propel the track into dance music territory, while the instant and catchy chorus buries itself so far into your head, it’ll be there all Summer. Be warned - ‘Skeleton Boy’ will have you dancing like it’s 1991.
