Glass Gang - Broken

It’s difficult to tell if Glass Gang are fucking around or if they have some meticulous, multi-stage plan.

Over the summer of 2013, the New York group - still a fairly mysterious entity - shared one free download a month, amounting to a collection of giveaways that showcased tight electronics and wave upon wave of MBV-leaning shoegaze wizardry. They then interrupted this flow with previous single ‘Sell It All’, which took glossy pop expert Lizzy Plapinger from MS MR and made her vocals sound robotic, demonic.

‘Broken’ sees them returning to a formula, so to speak. It takes last year’s tasters and for the first time creates something that marries the darkness of their previous curveball with a soaring melody. If they were mucking about before, they’re definitely not now.
