Watch: Glass Gang Share ‘Waves’ Video

Converts to minimalism, Glass Gang have turned the role of preachers. The New York-based shadowy trio spent last year releasing one new song for every summer month. Following that they went back into the shadows, with a new video for ‘Waves’ being their first contribution to 2014.

True to form, it’s an all black-and-white clip devoted to empty space more than anything else. It stars Romanian actress Alexandra Chelaru as the unfortunate consumer of nasty looking, bubbling black liquid. It’s like a fashion shoot gone sinister, and it matches up with the waves of shoegaze that crash against the foreground in the song itself. Minimal shoegaze. Sounds impossible, right? Somehow Glass Gang pull it off.
