How to destroy angels_ - Keep it together_
The collective have dispelled any current myth that ‘quiet music’ should be little more than amateur recordings of nothingness.

Much is made of the early-morning listening slot. Whether it’s staggering home in a post-pub haze, or staring at the bright lights of whichever screen you’re slumped in front of, there’s apparently an unwritten rule which dictates music listened to between the hours of midnight and morning must be, well, quiet.
How to destroy angels_ is the latest project from Trent Reznor, along with his wife Mariqueen Maandig, Rob Sheridan and Atticus Ross. And it really is written like that; it seems Reznor wishes to soundtrack the nightmares of even the world’s sub-editors. Their EP is titled ‘An omen_EP’ and this track, well it’s ‘Keep it together_’.
With ‘Keep it together_’ the collective have dispelled any current myth that ‘quiet music’ should be little more than amateur recordings of nothingness. Because while not much really happens during the song’s four-and-a-half minutes, the crisp production, signature – and still yet distinctly 2012 – bleeps and beats serve to create something darkly soothing.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
