Festivals PIXX shows promise during Latitude 2016 set
Technical problems don’t stop the 4AD act from impressing.
After coming over to DIY’s Latitude den earlier today for a stripped-back performance, Pixx follows the show with a Lake Stage set that shows promise in buckets.
There are technical problems for most of the set, but the band take it all in their stride. The set fluctuates between dark, moody pop and choruses of gold. Pixx is clearly still working out her true power, but there are more than a few glimpses of excellence today.
‘Weird In America’ is a highlight, perfectly balancing these two states into a cocktail of the highest order. There are finishing touches to still be completed for Pixx, but there’s more than enough on show today to hint at bright things.
