Plugs - All Them Witches

Equal measures of synth, blips and beeps.

Plugs

, side project and brainchild of Does It Offend You, Yeah?’s Morgan Quaintance, pull off all sorts of electro wizardry on their third single, ‘All Them Witches’. Opening with equal measures of synth, blips and beeps, it demonstrates explosive electro at its best.

Arranged impeccably the track weaves its way from verse to chorus – the outcome, what can only be described as an indie pop dream. Quaintance’s warm vocals and waving bassline bounce off the darker elements of the track keeping us in tune with the beat and not the mania that is the lyrical content: ‘If I see you in the arms of another, I’ll be standing over your shoulder with a gun in my hand, for the good of man.’ Plugs are not down with promiscuity.

Electro, Bitches and beats. Top drawer.
