Don’t be fooled by the name St. Spirit, this choral post-rock band are hardly holy. Hailing from Crystal Palace, the five piece are quickly gaining recognition from the masses and believe me, they deserve every bit of it. The lead single from their new EP comes in the form of title track ‘Pigeon’, a creepy song that might just catch you off guard if you’re not careful.
The release is a heavy mix of dark rock and racing guitars that accompany the vocals in a deeply moving manner. Whilst the track may fire away uncontrollably in the choral chorus, the verses are more paced, giving the band a chance to really showcase their talents in a rather charming way.
Clocking in at just less than three minutes, ‘Pigeon’ is a quality reminder of the vast talent that is out there ready to be unearthed and aired to the world. With dark undertones and twisted vocals, you better get ready mere mortals, St. Spirit are coming…
