The Race - Rude Boy

Preview single for forthcoming album ‘In My Head It Works’, this is the latest surprise from the ever loveable Shifty Disco records.

‘Rude Boy’ is a great radio track made all the more interesting because it doesn’t sound like this was ever the intention. A fat (almost) dub sound builds up a sonically charged atmosphere sliced by incisive lyrics. This is the sort of song Hard-Fi would kill for but could never pull off. Pounding and anthemic it is also classy with its “just so” playing and production.

As a taster for the album ‘Rube Boy’ is enticing and in an ideal world ought to be blaring out of car windows through a long hot summer.
