Beck to release new album “before summer” this year

Beck is set to release a new album this year and, according to a biography post on Øya Festival’s website, it will be out before the summer 2015.

The Norwegian event’s website states the following: “We are always looking forward to hearing new music from Beck. He is currently working on a new album which will be out before summer”. The album has reportedly been recorded with Pharrell Williams and other collaborators, and it’s set to be a departure from the folk-acoustic release ‘Morning Phase’.

Last year Beck released ‘Morning Phase’ which has been nominated for the ‘Album Of The Year’ title at this year’s Grammy Awards. Alongside his performance at Øya Festival, Beck has also confirmed his headline appearances at Boston Calling Music Festival and Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival in May.
