Mac DeMarco’s old band Makeout Videotape to re-issue ‘Ying-Yang’
Mac and Captured Tracks labelmate Alex Calder first put the record out in 2010.
Mac DeMarco’s old band Makeout Videotape are set to re-issue their 2010 release ‘Ying Yang’.
Formed in Vancouver, with Captured Tracks labelmate Alex Calder, Makeout Videotape was Mac DeMarco’s first serious band - by his standards, anyway - and it took him out on tour for the first time, too in support of Japandroids. ‘Ying Yang’ was the last of five records released by the band in just one year.
On August 20th, ‘Ying Yang’ will get a physical release via Thursday Friday, in a limited run of 1,200 12” copies. Listen to ‘Exercising With My Demons’ - from the album - below.
