Petite Noir has shared a new track ‘MDR’ ahead of releasing ‘La Vie Est Belle / Life Is Beautiful’ next month. Yannick Ilunga’s debut is out on 11th September via Double Six / Domino Records.
Speaking about his self-described “Noirwave” sound, Petite Noir called it a “new African aesthetic. It’s very rooted but at the same time it’s just about having a free mind, and not closing your mind off to any type of music. It’s about freeing yourself and not just listening to one kind of music.”
Petite Noir is off on tour in September in support of his debut, with dates at the following:
