Lorde unveils new ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ video
Track leads a self-curated soundtrack for the new ‘Hunger Games’.
Lorde has shared the video for her huge ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ single, which leads the soundtrack for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I’.
The New Zealander is in charge of curating the soundtrack - a tracklist features new tracks from CHVRCHES, Raury and Charli XCX (ft. Simon Le Bon!).
In her new video, Lorde avoids any ‘Hunger Games’-indebted, strange cannibalistic future battles, instead painting a dystopia of her own. Taking to neon-lit rooms, quiffs, jolt-motion dance moves and eerily quiet, foggy open roads, this could very well pass for her own Baz Luhrmann-style Hollywood triumph.
The ‘Mockingjay Part I’ soundtrack is available on iTunes. Tracklist below.
Emily Kai Bock directs the video, watchable below the tracklist.
