Ben Khan shares new track, ‘Zenith’

Ben Khan has shared a new track taken from his upcoming EP, ‘1000’. New single ‘Zenith’ follows the title-track aired earlier this month, with the new EP out on 11th May via Blessed Vice.

On ‘Zenith’, Khan returns with an extension of the purple-funk from his first release, moulding zippy guitar licks with greasy synth lines to create an electricity for his mythological tale.

Speaking to The Fader, Khan says that ‘Zenith’ is about “A superhero [who] goes to die by lying on the sun. Ashamed of what he has done, he begs his love for forgiveness so he can return. But his fate is sealed, and he slowly burns to death. What he has done is not to be made clear. The term ‘Zenith’ can be used to describe the highest point of ones success. But in this story, the Zenith reached is the astrological point where he meets his demise on the sun.”
