Dave Grohl breaks leg mid-show, carries on playing
Frontman is reported to have fallen off stage in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is reported to have broken his leg after falling off stage midway through a gig, before finishing the show anyway.
Grohl was performing in Gothenburg, Sweden, on a stop in the band’s current world tour. He’s said to have fallen off stage during ‘Monkey Wrench’, remained on the ground for a few minutes, before declaring to the crowd: “I love you, but I think I just broke my leg.”
Eyewitnesses report that after going backstage for some time, Grohl returned with his leg wrapped in a cast, before finishing the show while seated. While he was away, his bandmates played a set of covers, led by drummer Taylor Hawkins.
The band’s world tour is set to continue, including a headline slot at Glastonbury 2015.
