Tirzah shares new Micachu collaboration ‘What’s The Use’
B-side comes from upcoming single ‘Make It Up’
Tirzah has shared a new track, titled ‘What’s The Use’.
The new song is the b-side of a forthcoming single release ‘Make It Up’, which sees the London-based singer teaming up with Micachu again, following the former’s debut track ‘I’m Not Dancing’ in 2012.
On ‘What’s The Use’, a simple beat and dark stuttering sub-bass work around an indecipherable looped vocal sample, until a drop alters the course and sets hard-hitting techno jabs into the mix. Speaking to The FADER, Tirzah explained that ‘What’s The Use’, is a track that was “just having a beat for the beat’s sake. We were going to try and put vocals on it, but it only ever worked with a bit of sample.”
Tirzah will perform live with Micachu tonight at Electrowerkz, alongside performances from Roosevelt, Lxury, George T and Joe Goddard (Hot Chip). Tickets are on sale now.
Tirzah’s new single ‘Make It Up/What’s The Use’ is released by Greco-Roman - listen to ‘What’s The Use’ below.
