Carrie Brownstein shares her ten “Desert Island” books
Sleater-Kinney founder is set to release her first book ‘Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl’ this year.
Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney has revealed her list of ten books that she would take on a desert island.
Part of a feature for One Grand, a new curated bookstore opening in New York this August, Brownstein was asked by Aaron Hicklin on literature she couldn’t live without. The ten picks have been posted on The New York Times’ T Magazine site, with commentary on why she couldn’t live without each text.
The list includes:

Virginia Woolf - ‘The Waves’
