Confirmed: Sam Smith confirms he will sing the James Bond theme for ‘Spectre’
‘Writing’s On The Wall’ is to soundtrack the film, out 26th October.
Following a mysterious photo posted yesterday which started rumours that Sam Smith may be at the helm of the next Bond theme song, the singer has today confirmed the news.
The ‘Money On My Mind’ artist is to release ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ for the film, which arrives on 26th October. Announcing the news on Twitter, Smith called it “one of the highlights of my career”.
‘Writing’s On The Wall’ is to be available on 23rd October on CD and 7” vinyl, both of which are available to pre-order now.
Smith becomes the latest in an illustrious list of Bond theme singers, with Adele singing ‘Skyfall’ for the 2012 film of the same name.
