The Dead Weather preview new album with ‘Cop and Go’
Next week sees the band playing Colbert, their first live performance in five years.
The Dead Weather are streaming ‘Cop and Go’, the latest track to be lifted from new album ‘Dodge and Burn’.
It links up with ‘I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)’, a firestarting lead single defined by its own dastardly intent. Jack White and Alison Mosshart are in vicious form on that track - here, they’re no less rabid and ready to roll. But there’s a more gradual build, like they’re slowing drifting towards the apocalypse instead of flying at 500mph.
Listen to the new track below. ‘Dodge and Burn’ is out 25th September.
On Monday 14th September, The Dead Weather play their first live show together in five years on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert - small gig, then.
