Major Lazer and MØ’s ‘Lean On’ becomes Spotify’s most-streamed song of all time

Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s ‘Lean On (ft. MØ)’ single has become Spotify’s most-streamed song of all time.

Taken from Major Lazer’s ‘Peace is the Mission’ album, the track was released in summer 2015, and it’s since racked up 526 million plays worldwide.

‘Lean On’ has leapfrogged Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ as the service’s most popular song. OMI, Mark Ronson, Hozier, Sam Smith, Avicii and Clean Bandit are all in the current top ten.

MØ recently followed up the smash-hit with her new single ‘Kamikaze’. She’s expected to release the follow-up to ‘No Mythologies to Follow’ in 2016.
