SXSW 2020
Porridge Radio, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs & more to play DIY & Alt Citizen’s joint SXSW showcase
We’ll be teaming back up with New York zine to bring you the best live bands from both sides of the pond.
As you’ll know by now, next month Team DIY are hopping on a jet-plane and heading to the USA. And - after announcing plans for our first showcase at this year’s SXSW last week - we promised you more. Well, more we are here to give.
For the first time, DIY are going to be teaming up with our New York friends from Alt Citizen for an incredible joint showcase at Austin’s Maggie Mae’s on Thursday 19th March and we’ll be doing what we do best - celebrating local talent.
While Alt Citizen are bringing along three incredible East Coast-based acts for the show, we’ll be offering up three of our favourite British bands too. And we’ve got some absolute doozies for you…
In the UK corner, our old friends in LIFE will once again be returning to a DIY SXSW stage, alongside new Secretly Canadian signees Porridge Radio and Geordie wonders Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (…and breathe). In the NY corner, there’ll be sets from Model/ Actriz, Native Sun and The Wants.
