Album Review Haiku Hands - Haiku Hands
4 StarsHaiku Hands can pretty much do it all.

Because we all need a bit of a cathartic dance break while the world seemingly crumbles around us, Australia’s Haiku Hands have arrived with a long-awaited debut album that delivers just that. From thumping opener ‘Not About You’ to the tongue-in-cheek Sofi Tukker-featuring ‘Fashion Model Art’, via club-ready ‘Super Villain’ with its instant chant-along “fuck this shit!” lyric, their debut shows Haiku Hands doing what they do best - making huge dance bangers made for partying along to. However, the three-piece also have some surprises up their sleeves, adding in moments of calm amongst the party. ‘Sunride’ channels their bass-loving beats into a rousing anthem, while ‘Car Crash’ is a delicate ode-to-friendship, proving that Haiku Hands can pretty much do it all.
