Listen: Ekkah Stream Debut Track, ‘7AM (Demo)’
Birmingham via London duo - both named Rebecca - specialise in sunshine-soaked pop.
Birmingham via London duo Ekkah have shared their debut track; a sugar-sweet slice of sunshine borrowing parts of Dev Hynes’ West Coast glitz and JUCE’s 90s collage-pop.
The band played one of Neu’s Hello 2014 showcases at the turn of the year in London. This is their debut ‘demo’, although ‘7AM’ stuck out like a sore thumb when aired at the beginning of the year. It sees the duo - both named Rebecca - luring boring types of a ‘sheltered life’ into a tropical dance paradise.
