Listen: Forest Swords Shares ‘Thor’s Stone’ Track
The follow-up to 2011’s ‘Fjree Feather’ gains release on Tri Angle.

UK producer Forests Swords aka Matthew Barnes has unveiled the lead track from a forthcoming release on the Tri Angle label.
‘Thor’s Stone’ follows on from 2011’s ‘Fjree Feather’ on No Pain In Pop and debut release proper ‘Dagger Paths’. In his first material in over two years, Barnes’ craft has become more rhythmic, rooted to eerie, otherworldly samples and an Oriental-like backing. Instruments that don’t sound too dissimilar to pan pipes form odd, shifting melodies around a harsh, cyclical backdrop.
