Paul Simon To Headline Hard Rock Calling 2012

Paul Simon will headline this year’s Hard Rock Calling 2012.

The star will be playing the whole of his album ‘Graceland’, which turns 25 years old this year.

Recorded in South Africa, the album caused many a controversy when Simon was accused of breaching the cultural boycott against the ruling regime, by completing work there.

Regardless, the album sold 14 million copies, and the anniversary will see the re-release of the album, alongside the release of Joe Berlinger’s documentary film about Simon re-visiting South Africa twenty five years on.

Paul Simon will be headlining Hard Rock Calling on the 15th July at London’s Hyde Park.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on the 23rd March.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will also headline the event on the 14th July.
