Rilo Kiley Definitely Broken Up, Not On Hiatus

Rilo Kiley are officially ‘broken up’ according to guitarist Blake Sennett.

Speaking to Spinner, Sennett explains: ‘I just felt like there was a lot of deception, disloyalty, greed and things I don’t really want to submit myself to.’

‘I had related that frustration to music but I just thought, ‘I’m not going to put myself in that position again,’ so I said, ‘Fuck that, I can’t do this anymore.”

Speaking about the band’s last album, 2007’s ‘Under The Blacklight’, Sennett commented: ‘I don’t think it was our best record by far… There were some of our best songs on that record but some of our worst songs.’
