Pablo-gate
A fan is suing Kanye West for The Life of Pablo’s believed “exclusivity” to Tidal
West’s original promise of TLOP only being on Tidal was broken this month.

Kanye West is being sued by a fan who believes he was duped into signing up for Tidal.
West had originally declared that his latest album, ‘The Life of Pablo’, would only be available to stream on Tidal, but later backtracked on these statements when the album was released on Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming services.
The fan, Justin Baker-Rhett, believes himself and other supporters of West were played into signing up for the streaming service under the belief that the album would remain exclusive to Tidal subscribers. At this time, according to the Associated Press, Tidal are unavailable to comment.
The album broke records in the US upon its release, becoming the first album to reach no.1 on the Billboard charts where the majority of listens had come from streaming. Before its release on other music services, Tidal released figures stating that ‘The Life of Pablo’ had been streamed 400 million times since its release.
Yeezy is continuing to edit and make changes to the record, describing it as a “living breathing changing creative expression” The latest amendment has been the addition of ‘Saint Pablo’, a brand new track featuring Sampha.
