AlunaGeorge loses phone signal in ‘Mean What I Mean’ video
The desert is a metaphor for the importance of good communication in a healthy relationship. Or something.
Following in the esteemed footsteps of Spice Girls, One Direction, S Club 7, and the multitude of other musicians who have ventured into sandier climes for their music videos, AlunaGeorge head to the desert for their new ‘Mean What I Mean’ video.
It’s a great fit for the song tbh. “It seems you lost your brain, no signal,” sings Aluna, dancing around an abandoned waterpark, and making a good point in the process. Cos, think it through. There probably isn’t any 3G in the middle of the Californian desert, is there? It’s a metaphor.
‘Mean What I Mean’s video features guests Leikeli47 and Dreezy - but still no sign of the ever elusive George. The track appears on AlunaGeorge’s forthcoming second album ‘I Remember,’ which comes out on September 16th.
