AlunaGeorge’s Debut Album Enters UK Top 40

Duo’s ‘Body Music’ debut gets usurped by a Scouting For Girls greatest hits album.

AlunaGeorge

narrowly missed out on the top 10 this week with the release of their debut album ‘Body Music’. The London duo were ousted by Britain’s Got Talent contestants and a surprisingly cobbled-together Scouting For Girls Greatest Hits album (you read that right. Scouting For Girls. ‘Greatest Hits’.)

‘Body Music’ entered the UK album top 40 at #11, with the pair’s ‘You Know You Like It’ single also sneaking into the top 40 singles chart, at #39.

Classical lookers Richard & Adam’s ‘The Impossible Dream’ built on BGT success by hitting the album top spot, while Scouting For Girls’ ungodly entry arrived at #8.

In singles, the highest new entry came from Eliza Doolittle, with ‘Big When I Was Little’ charting at #12. Avicii’s topping pretty much every chart worldwide right now, and his ‘Wake Me Up’ single held onto the UK top spot.
