Ang Low announces new single, ‘Wild Horses’
NYC talent is following a promising EP with a big step up.
Brooklyn-based musician Ang Low’s debut ‘Life Goes Down’ EP was the product of blog-centric acclaim, which is all well and good: Keyboard-tappers and internet addicts have a big sway on a newcomer’s first step, but on ‘Wild Horses’, Angelo Whitehead’s “crossed the line” into full-blown, assured songwriting.
His previous EP took on a scattershot approach, bright ideas being fledged out in different directions. This quickfire follow-up was co-written with London star Laura Welsh (the pair recently started a curious project of their own, LauraxAng, presumably on the back of the success for this initial session).
‘Wild Horses’ goes way beyond a box-ticking aesthetic that defined his previous EP, and it lands ahead of forthcoming UK and US tour dates, all of which have yet to be announced. Get excited though - this latest track marks a real step up and sign of intent.
