Anna Calvi Announces New Album, ‘One Breath’
It follows on from her 2011 Mercury-nominated self-titled debut.
Anna Calvi has announced she will release a new album this autumn; watch a preview trailer above. The record will be titled ‘One Breath’, and is due on 7th October.
”One Breath’ is the moment before you’ve got to open yourself up,’ Calvi explains, ‘and it’s about how terrifying that is. It’s scary and it’s thrilling. It’s also full of hope, because whatever has to happen hasn’t happened yet.’
The album was produced by John Congleton in Blackbox Studios, France and mixed in Dallas, Texas, USA. It follows on from her 2011 Mercury-nominated self-titled debut.
The tracklisting is as follows:
01 Suddenly
02 Eliza
03 Piece By Piece
04 Cry
05 Sing To Me
06 Tristan
07 One Breath
08 Love Of My Life
09 Carry Me Over
10 Bleed Into Me
11 The Bridge
You can catch Calvi at a number of live dates later this year, including London’s Wiltons Music Hall on 12th September, and London’s Islington Assembly Hall on 8th October.
