Anna Calvi announces ‘Is This All There Is?’ EP with Iggy Pop collab ‘God’s Lonely Man’
The four track project will also feature contributions from Laurie Anderson, Matt Berninger, and Perfume Genius.

Anna Calvi has officially shared plans to release a new EP, ‘Is This All There Is?’, on 20th March - a project of collaborations for which she’s joined forces with Iggy Pop, Perfume Genius, Laurie Anderson, and Matt Berninger.
The first of a trio of records, ‘Is This All There Is?’ promises to introduce the series’ themes of identity, metamorphosis, and the self - existential concepts which have preoccupied Calvi since becoming a parent. “Having a child was so transformative it made me consider the possibility that everything in life could potentially shift, and that is scary but incredibly freeing,” she has reflected. “I didn’t want to take anything for granted any more. I want to exist in the best way for my child. I wanted to ask the most basic human question - is this all there is?”
Released at the end of last year, her striking cover of Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s ‘I See A Darkness’ (performed with Perfume Genius) gave us our first preview of the EP, which follows her 2018 album ‘Hunter’, as well as her work scoring Peaky Blinders; now, she’s dropped opener ‘God’s Lonely Man’, an imposing Iggy Pop collab that conveys a sense of defiance amidst destruction.
Speaking about her experience of working with the punk icon, Calvi has noted that he is “disruptive, raw, and honest - a singular force,” explaining that “his presence was so perfect for the narrative of this song.” Watch the official video for ‘God’s Lonely Man’ - featuring both Calvi and Iggy Pop - below.
