Antony Szmierek shares celebratory video for latest album preview ‘Angie’s Wedding’
The final track of his upcoming debut LP unites all its characters for one big party.

Manchester poet and producer Antony Szmierek has just dropped new single ‘Angie’s Wedding’ - the hopeful, heartening closing track of his forthcoming debut album ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’ (arriving on 28th February via Mushroom Music/Virgin Music Group).
Bringing together all the different characters who feature on the record - including the ‘Yoga Teacher’, the “Pound Shop Geri Horner”, and the “Patron Saint of Withington” - this new cut act as a joyful conclusion to their stories, a Madchester-tinged soundtrack to the fictional nuptials.
Speaking about ‘Angie’s Wedding’, Antony has shared: “The album was always going to end at a wedding or a wake, and I went with the most positive option. Inspired by motorway graffiti, a track that takes us to a place where ‘the doers and the dreamers’ of the world live forever. All recorded in one continuous take, with the mistakes left in.”
You can revisit our recent In The Studio interview with Antony and watch the video for ‘Angie’s Wedding’ - which sees him revel in the post-ceremony party - below.
