Antony Szmierek shows off his flow on latest single ‘Yoga Teacher’
It’s our latest preview of his debut album ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’.

Manchester wordsmith and DIY Class of 2024 member Antony Szmierek is back with another taste of his forthcoming debut album ‘Service Station At The End Of The Universe’ (due out on 28th February 2025 via Mushroom Music/Virgin Music Group), this time in the form of ‘Yoga Teacher”s irresistible groove.
The new track follows previous singles ‘The Great Pyramid of Stockport’ and ‘Rafters’, and mediates on self-consciousness, complicated father-son dynamics, and his vinyasa flow atop bubbling, ’80s-influenced synths and a groove-imbued bassline.
Expanding on the song’s concept, Antony has explained that “the narrator wrestles with his own feelings towards masculinity, sexuality and his absentee father over the course of a surrealist and dreamlike yoga lesson. the more he tries to let go, the more his anxieties come to the surface. Breathe in, hold… release”.
