Art School Girlfriend releases new song ‘Real Life’

It’s the latest track from her new album, ‘Soft Landing’, out on 4th August.

Art School Girlfriend - the artist moniker of Polly Mackey - has today released ‘Real Life’ - the latest in a series of singles taken from her upcoming album ‘Soft Landing’. Following previous releases ‘Heaven Hanging Low’, ‘Close To The Clouds’ and ‘A Place To Lie’, the track is an ambient-tinged slow burn that gets more intricate with each listen.

Of the track, Polly says: “‘Real Life’ is one of my favourite songs on the album. It’s about moving on from a time when my life felt stuck and lacked meaning… but then being pulled back into a blue-sky reality by a loved one. I wanted the end to feel really euphoric and cinematic with strings and vocal layers, and it’s been an amazing one to play live”.

Art School Girlfriend will embark on a UK tour this Autumn; check out the dates below.
