Atomic Bomb! Who Is William Onyeabor? join Latitude 2014 bill
A supergroup consisting of Alexis Taylor and Sinkane celebrate the music of a mysterious synth wizard.
Latitude 2014 has announced a very special addition to its 2014 bill in the form of Atomic Bomb! Who is William Onyeabor?, a band celebrating the mysterious West African synth genius. The likes of Alexis Taylor (pictured), Pat Mahoney (from LCD Soundsystem), Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Sinkane, Scritti Politti and Mahotella Queens feature on the line-up, with more set to be announced closer to the day of performance.
Also confirmed for this year’s festival is indie duo Slow Club, who play the Obelisk Arena on Friday. Scottish triumphs The Phantom Band play the iArena, with Rag N Bone Man, The People The Poet, Panes, Jagaara, These Ghosts and Aquilo completing the list of additions.
DIY is the official partner at this year’s Latitude Festival, with headliners arriving in the form of Damon Albarn, Two Door Cinema Club and The Black Keys. Tickets are priced from £187.50 for adults at face value - for full details head to latitudefestival.co.uk.
