Bastille and Angel Haze collaborate on new ‘VS.’ cut ‘Weapon’
The band’s latest mixtape track also boasts contributions from F*U*G*Z and Braque.
Bastille are gearing up to release their brand new mixtape ‘VS.’ very shortly, and in the lead up, they’ve revealed a handful of tracks to be taken from it. So far, we’ve been offered their potent ‘Torn Apart’, as featuring Grades, along with the mixtape’s only non-collaborative track, ‘The Driver’. Now, they’ve revealed ‘Weapon’, a song that some fans will already be familiar with…
Featuring Angel Haze, the latest song to be taken from ‘VS.’ was originally aired when the two artists toured together back in March this year. Also boasting production credits from F*U*G*Z and Braque, the track was pieced together during the band’s biggest UK headline show. “[With] Angel Haze,” frontman Dan Smith told DIY in this month’s cover feature. “We toured with her, and recorded it backstage at Ally Pally, back in March.”
‘VS. (Other People’s Heartache Pt. III)’ gets released on 8th December, and the tracklisting looks something like this:
1. Fall Into Your Arms (Bastille vs. The Gemma Sharples Quartet)
2. Bite Down (Bastille vs. HAIM)
3. bad_news (Bastille vs. MNEK)
4. The Driver
5. Axe To Grind (Bastille vs. Tyde vs. Rationale)
6. Torn Apart (Bastille vs. Grades vs. Lizzo)
7. Weapon (Bastille vs. Angel Haze vs. F*U*G*Z vs. Braque)
8. Remains (Bastille vs. Rag N Bone Man vs. Skunk Anansie)
