Bastille take on Haim with new track ‘Bite Down’
Bonkers track is taken from the ‘Other People’s Heartache Pt. III’.
Bastille and Haim have collaborated on a bonkers stab of brilliant pop for ‘Bite Down’, a new track lifted from Dan Smith and co.’s new mixtape ‘Other People’s Heartache Pt. III’.
Premiering on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show as a Hottest Record, the track falls as part of a release that also features Lizzo, Angel Haze and MNEK.
Speaking to DIY about the collaboration as part of our November cover feature, Dan Smith said: “When it comes to working with people. it’s about making room for others. There’s no egos involved. It’s never like, ‘Fuck you I want two verses’. When Haim came in, they all sang, Danielle played guitar because she’s wicked at it. Este did some bass stuff, we did some programming, I wrote it but it all actually happened in one evening. Three or four hours.”
Bastille’s new mixtape ‘VS.’ will be released on 8th December. For more about the release, head here. Pre-order ‘VS.’ here.
