Battles say new album ‘La Di Da Di’ is “next level shit”
New York trio will release their third album on 18th September through Warp.
Earlier this month, Battles confirmed that they will release their new album ‘La Di Da Di’ on 18th September through Warp.
This week the trio have been speaking to NME about the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Gloss Drop’ after sharing a behind the scenes documentary of the album’s recording.
When asked to describe the sound of ‘La Di Da Di’, bassist Dave Kanopka said: “We’ve gone beyond being classifiable to even ourselves on this album. All I’ll say is that this is our next level shit.”
The new release features no guest vocalists or collaborators, with drummer John Stanier adding: “We wanted to work with the fundamentals of what the three of us were capable of.”
