Ben Gibbard Says Current Postal Service Dates Will Be The “Very Last”

Ben Gibbard has stated on Twitter that The Postal Service’s current live dates will be their ‘very last.’

The band - who reformed earlier this year - are currently scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza (3rd August) and an afterparty at Chicago’s Metro (4th August).

‘Hey Chicago,’ Gibbard tweeted today, ‘these @PostalService shows at Lollapalooza and Metro will be our very last. Please come celebrate with us!’

The 10th anniversary tour - featuring Ben Gibbard, Jimmy Tamberello and Jenny Lewis - included three dates in the UK, two in London and one in Manchester.

A reissue of the band’s 2003 album, ‘Get Up’, was released back in April featuring two new tracks; ‘A Tattered Line Of String’ and ‘Turn Around’.
