Ben Khan channels his inner Lynch for surreal-fest ‘1000’ video
Nightmarish clip matches up with an EP of the same name.
From day one, Ben Khan’s had a film obsession to match that of his music. A perfectionist streak defines his every move, and it’s made its biggest mark yet in the video for ‘1000’.
This is a clip inspired by hundreds of greats. It carries a big David Lynch quality - the central scene being shot in dream-like ‘Twin Peaks’ surroundings - and Khan spends half his time shuffling and finger-clicking, the other half bashing a typewriter like his life depends on it. It’s just a small fraction of the stuff that circuits his head, no doubt.
Yoni Lapin directs the clip - watch below. ‘1000’ is out 11th May on the Blessed Vice imprint. Pre-order here.
