Big Thief announce new album ‘Double Infinity’, share new single ‘Incomprehensible’
Their sixth album follows on from the trio’s stand-out 2022 record ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You’.

Three years on from the release of ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You’, Brooklyn trio Big Thief - aka Buck Meek, Adrianne Lenker, James Krivchenia - have announced details of their newest studio album.
The band will release their sixth full-length ‘Double Infinity’ on 5th September via 4AD, and to coincide with today’s announcement, the band have shared its shimmering lead single ‘Incomprehensible’ - an ode to the beauty and bewilderment of living life and the passage of time - which you can hear below.
Recorded over three wintery weeks at New York’s Power Station late last year, the process provided a warm contrast to the frozen streets outside, with the band joined by a community of musicians - Alena Spanger, Caleb Michel, Hannah Cohen, Jon Nellen, Joshua Crumbly, June McDoom, Laraaji, Mikel Patrick Avery, Mikey Buishas - who helped the more improvisational approach to the album. The album is set to be nine tracks in length, and you can scroll down to check out its tracklisting.
‘Double Infinity’ will follow on from the band’s 2023 standalone singles ‘Vampire Empire’ and ‘Born For Loving You’, and the release of their ‘Passional Relations’ EP, which was shared earlier this year to raise money for organisations helping LA communities after the wildfires back in January.
‘Double Infinity’ tracklisting:
1. Incomprehensible
2. Words
3. Los Angeles
4. All Night All Day
5. Double Infinity
