Black Honey share new track ‘Spinning Wheel’
The flip-side single to previous release ‘Madonna’ sees the Brighton band fall headlong into a world of film-noir gone batshit crazy.

Mysterious Brighton outfit Black Honey have been sharing a lot lately - namely their phone number, which is listed on their Soundcloud page for curious fans to message to their heart’s content. Today, they’ve also shared new track ‘Spinning Wheel’, which pairs up with their last release ‘Madonna’ to form a double A-side single.
Beginning with lazily twanged minor chords, and kicking off a melancholy tale - “love is just a spinning wheel / dyed like the tumbleweed” - Black Honey seize on film-noir and songwriting tropes with gleeful abandon. The result’s a wonderfully playful genre-romp that wouldn’t sound at all out of place soundtracking Pumpkin and Honey Bunny staging an impromptu robbery in Pulp Fiction.
