Lorde and Carly Rae Jepsen joined Bleachers on MTV Unplugged
Jack Antonoff performed stripped back versions of ‘Gone Now’ tracks.

Over the weekend, Bleachers performed an MTV Unplugged session at legendary venue The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and was joined by some very special guests.
Regular collaborators Lorde and Carly Rae Jepsen joined Jack Antonoff on stage for stripped back performances of tracks from Bleachers’ excellent recent LP ‘Gone Now’.
The pair joined Antonoff for a performance of ‘Hate That You Know Me’, which Carly Rae Jepsen provides backing vocals for on the studio recording. Lorde and Antonoff then took to the piano to perform ‘Don’t Take The Money’, a track that Ella Yelich-O’Connor co-produced and sang on.
Carly also joined the singer to perform ‘Shadow’.
We chatted to Jack Antonoff around the release of ‘Gone Now’, where we found him taking joy from life’s downsides. “I had a moment early on when I was writing this album,” Jack says, fidgeting in his seat backstage at New York’s Webster Hall, where in a few hours he’ll debut the song live.
“I was out on the street in New York and I was thinking that everybody has these massive stories. Everyone has a great loss. Whether you’ve seen the worst tragedy in your family, or your partner left you - whatever it is - that’s the sludge that we all push through in life. It’s not what we lost, it’s more who we lost.”
