They're back
Blur release new track ‘St Charles Square’
It’s only one week till the Britpop giants take to Wembley.
Next weekend - Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July - Britpop icons Blur play Wembley Stadium for two of the biggest shows of their 30+ year career. With support from Sleaford Mods, Self Esteem, Jockstrap, Paul Weller, and The Selecter, the dates are a double header mecca for fans of music old and new.
Latest single ‘St Charles Square’ is already known for those who’ve caught the band live recently, with opening line “I fucked up / I’m not the first to do it” being a fan favourite at their summer European shows. Commenting on the new track’s title, Damon Albarn simply says: “St Charles Square is a place where the ghosts of monsters can be found”.
It comes after the band’s surprise return six weeks ago with comeback single ‘The Narcissist’, which immediately catapulted them back to the forefront of pop culture conversations, and preceded their live return at hometown venue Colchester Arts Centre.
